A road with hairpins that take you up to the mountain or down to the Village. There is a viewing platform at the top with a magnificent view over the fjord.
Geiranger is a village in western Norway, at the head of Geirangerfjord. It’s home to the Norwegian Fjord Center, with multimedia on the history of the region and its inhabitants. The nearest town is Ålesund.
Geiranger is the third busiest cruising ship harbour in Norway. During the four month tourist season, 140-180 ships visit Geiranger. The village has about 250 permanent residents who's main income comes from the hundreds of thousands of tourists during the summer.
Geiranger was added to the Unesco World Heritage List in 2005.
