'A day out in Cotswolds' is a scenic ride from Oxford to Stratford upon Avon. The ride is split into several caches to make it easier to log a find.
This is the third part of the route from Oxford to Stratford. The route starts in Bourton-on-the-Water and ends in Snowshill.
Leave Bourton-on-the-Water by going down the mainstreet and turning right for a very short distance on the A429 to a left-hand turn that directs you to outstandingly lovely villages of Lower and Upper Slaughter with their honey coloured stone cottages. From Upper Slaughter ride through "the Swells", Lower and Upper Swell, further picturesque examples of villages. Continue then to Stow-on-the-Wold (cache picture from Stow-on-the-Wold) with its market square lines by mellow, old, gray-stone buildings. After Stow-on-the-Wold the route continues to Bourton-on-the-Hill, whose houses climb a steep hillside. At the top of the hill turn right for Blockley and continue to Broad Campden anf Chipping Campden, its High Street lined with gabled cottages and shops.
Leave Chipping Campden in the direction of Evesham that takes you to the A44 which you cross for Snowshill.
This route goes through several villages. Please tell us which village you liked most. Enjoy you ride!
