A very popular motorcycle route with beautiful sceneries on the east side of Lake Päijänne. If you want to ride on a curvy and scenic road that is not too slow, this is one of the best roads to include in your trip plan.

The road between Luhanka and Sysmä passes through several villages and high bridges with breathtaking views over the lakes.

Luhanka has approx. 800 inhabitants and the population multiplies when summer residents arrive. After you have ridden this route, you'll understand why people want to spend their summer vacation here.

The legendary singer Olavi Virta was born in 1915 in the village of Särkilahti that belongs to Sysmä where you can find a small road called 'Olavi Virta'. In spring of 2015 when it was 100 years from his birth, a statue called 'Silver Moon' was revealed in the centre of Sysmä (It's another motocache 'Hopeinen Kuu' east from point B). The designer of the statue is Kimmo Pyykkö.

Sysmä was very prosperous in the old days and there are, for example, many mansions.

Next to the new marina is Pinxinmäki (http://www.pinxinmaki.fi/). There you can find art and a café.

In the centre of Sysmä there's also the harbour cafe to (Satamakahvila) that was opened in 2014.

Translate: 'pleksi'.
