The Brecon Loop is a fabulous ride hidden behind the high hedges and out on the open moors. The third part of the loop starts at Talgarth.
Take the A479 towards Builth Wells. The road changes to the A470 and just beyond Erwood turn to right on the B4567 and again onto the B4594. It climbs via various hairpin bends to a height of 297m. It descends and goes through Painscastle and then ascends the valley of the River Bachawy to Rhos-goch where the river ends and the road climbs again to Newchurch. It crosses the stream there and climbs again to 373m then descends to Gladestry and in due course continues its descent to the terminus at the A44 in Burlingjobb.
Enjoy your ride in either direction!
