California 79 is a popular motorcycle road that makes a nice loop with Old Hwy 80 and Sunrise Highway.
The road is varying with slow sweeps and tight corners.
If you start from the south, you'll be riding about 3800 feet above sea level. After about six miles the road starts climbing to 5000 feet.
Remember to fuel up if needed. Pine Walley on Old Hwy 80 (east from point A) and Julian (north from point B) have gas stations.
ps. The next Julian Apple Days Festival is Sept. 24-25, 2016. Expect a lot of traffic then.
Ride at least the CA 79 part of the route. You may skip Old Hwy 80 (A to WP3) if it doesn't fit into your plans.
