This is the fourth part of the A68 Darlington to Jedburgh route.
A fantastic biker route that links England and Scotland. The complete route, only 87 miles, is however a super roller-coaster ride with plenty of straights, dips and twisties which will not disappoint. This motorcycle route can be a blast but its worth taking a leisurely trip taking in the scenery (as it is regularly Policed). The routes passes through Northumberland National Park, Kielder Forest, past Catcleugh Reservoir. The ascent to the Border is rewarded with a fantastic view from Carter Bar of the Scottish Borders and further afield (there's usually a burger van here too). The descent from Carter Bar deserves some attention - watch out for the 2 extreme hairpins - the final descent to Jedburgh is a great well surfaced road (plenty of speed cameras). Stop at Jedburgh town for some nice traditional places to have a coffee and filled roll.
Enjoy your ride in eitehr direction!
