Duncansby Head is the most north-easterly part of the Scottish mainland, including even the famous John o' Groats, Caithness, Highland. The headland juts into the North Sea, with the Pentland Firth to its north and west and the Moray Firth to its south.
Duncansby Head Lighthouse near John o' Groats was established in 1924 by engineer David A. Stevenson of the Stevenson family of lighthouse designers overlooking the North Sea and the Pentland Firth.
There is no access to the lighthouse itself but park your bike in the parking area nearby and enjoy the sea views!
