Alnwick is in the heart of brilliant roads. The Northumbian coast is a real treat. The first part of the route takes you from Alnwick to a walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. During the route you pass magnificant Bamburgh Castle and spectacular Lindisfarne.
At Alnwick take the A1068 towards Alnmouth. At Lesbury turn left onto the B1339 towards Longhoughton. Soon after Embleton the road becomes B1340. Stay on the B1340 towards Bamburgh. The road becomes B1342 towards the A1. Turn right onto the A1 towards Berwick-upon-Tweed. At Scremerston, turn right onto the A1167 towards Berwick-upon-Tweed. The first part of the route ends here.
Enjoy your ride in either direction!
