This is a magical ride mixing A roads and B roads while dodging too much town riding. The fourth part takes you from Sherborne back to Dorchester.
The route continues along A3030 and in Stock Gaylard take a right turn onto B3143. The first small village reached is King's Stag followed by the slightly larger (and more spread out) village of Pulham. The B3143 passes through Buckland Newton before climbing to a summit near Henley. The road descends to Alton Pancras where it joins the River Piddle and follows the river through Piddletrenthide and White Lackington to Piddlehinton. After Piddlehinton the B3143 passes the Enterprise Park and meets the western end of the B3142 which continues along the river valley. The B3143 climbs to the southwest and crosses the hills to Dorchester.
Enjoy your ride in either direction!
