Col de Pailhères is a high mountain pass at a height of 2,001 m which is located in the Ariège department of the French Pyrenees. The asphalted road D25 links Mijanès (south-east) and Lavail (west). There is very little traffic and the higher you get the greater the views are. There are two routes to climb the pass. When starting from Mijanes, the ascent is 11 km long the elevation gain being 870 m with an average gradient of 8%. Starting from Lavail, the ascent is 11 km long with an average gradient of 7%.
